Twelfth month of the Gregarious (whoops, I mean Gregorian) Calendar

Dear readers,

So much has happened and I can't believe its December already! Time has passed by so fast...
Do you know that couple of days ago, nearly 10 inches of snow came on the last weekend before christmas. It was madness! Thankfully, I am done with exams and received my grades for the semester.. I am pretty pleased with my grades, hence, I decided to cancel my winter class cuz no need to burden myself for another one month of a class that is definetely not required for my graduation.

Anyhow, tho its freezing outside.. there are several events that will melt your heart away and of couse keep you warm like slurrpy hot coco.

List of the venues that you might enjoy in this lovely December are:

1. Brooklyn Do Basil
"Eu preciso dizer que te amo" and "Desafinado", just to name a few, are two of my favorite bossas songs... and if you like bossanova or samba, make sure to stop by at Savalas every Sunday starting Dec 27th and experience the festivity all nite long. The place is at 285 Bedford Ave between Grand and South 1st Sts
Brooklyn, NY 11211

2. Washington Square Park
This lovable park never ceases to amaze me! located at W 4th St to Waverly Pl between MacDougal St and University Pl Manhattan, NY 10003
Visitors can enjoy performances from live bands playing various genres from Folk to Jazz while drinking hot tea or hot coffee or hot coco. There's a cute tea spot nearby ironically called "TeaSpot" (huh?) that serves more than 80 kind of teas, pastries, wraps and not forgot to mention "FREE WIFI" yuuhuuuuuuu!!!! I always can linked up with my Twitter day&night!
The address is 127 Macdougal St New York, NY 10012

The girls of my life pose infront of "Tea Spot" ~ Tea is our favoritooo

3. Curly's Vegetarian Lunch
This adorable restaurant is located at 328 E 14th St, New York 10003
(Btwn 1st & 2nd Ave) I like this place not only cuz they serve a bangin' yummy BBQ Tempeh but also the nice feelings that I usually get from here.

While waiting for the food, customers can show off their drawing skills on the placemats with the provided stationery. If you're lucky, your work of arts might get hang up on the wall. Their portions are huge and healthy! So it is all worth it!

This is me at Curly's~ teasing my bestgurl to stop drawing cuz her drawing suckface! lmao!

whattyuuu waiting for? get your arse up and enjoy the city vibe this December!

Dear Christmas, Please come soon!

Hey All,

I can't believe it's almost the middle of October already! I have two special birthday parties that I MUST attend. meh. (I wish my birthday is round the corner, so I can get lotsa lotsa giftss!)
-> yeah, keep dreaming, Sha!

Anywayyy, talking of gifts! I am currently saving up my mulahh to get myself or treat myself for something special.. (or anyone interested to buy it for me?) naahhhh, I don't think soo.. hence, I rather get it myself..

These are the things I'm coveting right now (or should I say "For Christmas?"):

(If my financial ability doesn't allow me to purchase this gorgeous Roland/Boss BR-900 CD, then a Roland MC-505 should be sufficient.)

(Bali: I've been here before, but i have to go there again just to meet someone.. not in a romantical way, but more like.. "hey wassap, i'm here-let's chat" way!)
(I know it's a bit of a cliche, but I can't resist this lovely ring from Tiffany&Co. wellll, anykind of jewellry from Tiffany will enlighten my day! *big grin*)

OH SNAP! It's time for me to take a shower, I have volunteering service down at Housing Works Bookstore.. If you live in downtown NYC area, come by and enjoy the Thrift shop events!

Where the Wild things in NYC?

Hey y'all..
Are you excited about the new movie coming out on October 16 called Where The Wild Things Are directed by Spike Jones? I remember pretty vividly I used to shiver, everytime I think of Max dancing with the grisly monsters in a wild rumpus.
As a child, I read repeatedly Maurice Sendak's masterpiece and coincidentally enough during my college year, I have to re-read the book and write an extensive term paper about the adventures as part of my minor class.
Lucky for us New Yorkers, The Big Apple will celebrate a long full week of this top notch classic children's book.
Below are the dates and places of where we can get a glimpse of the wild imaginations of Max:
  • October 10-18, Brooklyn Children's Museum : Children are able to play the parts from the book as an interactive readings conducted as well.
  • October 13, The New York Public Library : Join the film's stars like Forest Whitaker and Catherine Keener reading the book aloud to fellow Wild Things admirers of all ages!

  • October 16, Children's Museum of the Art : Encourage your kids, nephews, nieces, or grandchildren to display (or more like showing off) artistic skills of their own interpertation of Max's journey in this special workshop.
  • All year long : Experience the wilderness of New York City in some of the famous parks such as Bronx park (Don't forget to check out the beautiful river), Fort Tryon Park (come and visit the Cloister!), and of course Central Park (Beatles anyone? Strawberry field!)

So readers, no matter what age brackets you are in... I'm gladly welcome you all to this Wild celebration!

Childish moment numero uno!

Hey All,

Lately, I'm not at my best. Out of all the priorities I have, I'm letting my ego to control my friggin' life..
Last night, I celebrated my good-friend's bday at Jekyll and Hyde Pub in Midtown, NYC. I intensely searched for a place that fit with her interest! It was fun and all but I just felt something missing.

Then I realized that I'm just being ungrateful sonuvabitch at the dinner. from time to time, I like to throw surprise parties for my closest friends.. and mind you, I'm Taurus.. so we're known for liking extravagant stuff and being dramatic.
I don't want to sound cocky or conceited... but I like to give something special to my friends.. and it seems like my friends don't really know what I "want".. (GOSH, i'm such a biatch!!)
hmmm.. I know you guys might gonna hate me after I say this... but 'emmmm....
I never get the surprise party that I want.. (there you go, I said it!)
couple of years ago, I wanted something special on my B-Day but they took me to a Korean Restaurant that I hated! (well, my friends didn't know that I hate that resto..)
then, a year after that I took off to Paris for my B-Day cuz I felt that my friends here not gonna throw any surprise party anyway.. then the next year, my friends took me to a bakery shop on my b-day..because I kept nagging about surprise party, so they felt forced/sorry/pitty cuz of my attitude or something..
I never have/ feel a surprise party that really... hmmm.. I can't even put it in words..
I know I know I sound very childish and unappreciative.. but years after years.. is always the same case on my birthday.. it bugged me for years now when it comes to birthday. So from now on I try my best not to relly on others and make myself happy first...
below are places that I wanna "treat myself" for my 2010 bday:

SUE LONDON flat: Highlight of my Hazy Monday!

Helloo Readers!

I am so happy to be back to my blog and just write..write.. and write!
How are you guys anyways? I hope you're all having a great summer so far.

It is going well on my end. Well, I should say.. Simply Superb!
Lot of things going on these past months that affected my personal growth and self-improvement.. which is great! (I don't want to sound a bit hypocrite here by saying everything is wonderful.) Of course, I have my ups and downs but I'm trying my best to see in a more positive ways..

Personally, it is true when people say that if you develop a positive thinking attitude, you will draw many positive feedbacks and benefits in return!

The good energy happened to me last Monday when I got out of work and met with one of my goodfriends at her office..
Out of the blue, she surprised me with a very cute and adorable SUE LONDON shoe!
I instantly fall in love with the purple leather flats! The Sue Londonuit is just the most comfiest slippers I have ever tried on.
My goodfriend, HOTTIE (not a real name- for confidentiality purposes.. LOL!), told me that the shoes supposedly come with a small hip leather bag to keep them handy at all times.. but mine didn't come with a bag, instead with huge HUGS and KISSES! (EVEN BETTER, ladies..!) hahaha..

So, all of y'all out there.. either FASHIONISTAS, SHOE HUNTERS, or SOMEONE-WHO-WANTS-TO-FIND-COMFORTABLE-SHOES...
check this website: www.suelondon.com

Hurry and Order Now.. cuz the shoes and bags are way tooo cutee to be true!!!

P.S.: Thank you, Hottie! you're a wonderful person inside and outside.. *you know who you are..* BIG GRIN!
